Why Travel Tuesday: The Supertrees of Singapore

(Every Tuesday, I will be featuring a photograph from a place I have gone to, a photograph which I believe will inspire others to go out and see the world for themselves. For this week, Why Travel Tuesday features a photo from a place I have been to more than once but having arrived again here today, I found myself immensely enjoying my time. I am of course talking about Singapore. The newest attraction: The Supertrees of Singapore.)

Perhaps I have been confined back home in the Philippines for longer than I expected. Perhaps I am now changing, growing as a traveler. Perhaps both. I was walking along the immaculately clean streets of Singapore today and I found myself immensely enjoying the few hours that I have already spent here since I arrived this morning. I first came here in 2011 as Singapore was the first stop in a six-month trip around Asia. While I liked the people and the food, the city just did not appeal to me. That may have changed today. The food and the people, I still like. The city, though, I think I'm getting a new-found affection for it, what with gigantic green tourist attractions such as these—the Supertrees of Singapore in Gardens by the Bay, Marina Bay. What a sight! Yes, I'm on the move again. The road will again be home for the next month and I have never felt better.

Have you traveled to a place you did not like but found yourself enjoying it on subsequent visits? Which place is it?
